After graduating from Monte, Penelope travelled the world following in the footsteps of her parents, who travelled extensively at the conclusion of World War II. On Penelope’s return from overseas, she married her childhood sweetheart and joined a luxury hotel as an Administration Manager. After the birth of her daughter Amanda, and son Todd, she had a variety of roles in public relations, international marketing and international trade. During the 1980s Penelope founded two successful companies, which facilitated trade opportunities between Australia and Japan. In 1995 Penelope was appointed General Manager of the American Chamber of Commerce in Western Australia, where she facilitates business opportunities to members of the Chamber in Australia and overseas. She has been responsible for signi cantly increasing the pro le of Australia’s Premier International Business Organisation and she continues to implement successful initiatives Her career, both as an employee and an employer, has been challenging, interesting and stimulating. However, the best gift she ever received, was without doubt her amazing children who make her proud every day. |
