KIYA SIUTZ (CLASS OF 2014)

During her time at the College, Kiya showed a signi cant interest and talent within the technology and audio visual (AV) space. Her skills and strong work ethic were evident, and after graduating, the College o ered Kiya an internship working under the AV Coordinator. Kiya commenced her internship while also studying a Bachelor of Arts (Media)
at Macquarie University (full-time).

Kiya excelled at university and was awarded two Highest Achiever Awards in screen production, and in her nal year received a signi cant award for creative achievement in editing. As part of her degree Kiya travelled to Peru, Cusco for a month working with ‘Peru’s Challenge’ as project leader for Macquarie University. Her role included coordinating media and marketing projects and Kiya still remains in contact with the organisation today.

Kiya has now completed her degree and works full time for the College as the
AV Coordinator. Kiya enjoys her role, including student engagement initiatives and the Creative Industry Partnership Program, where she is responsible for guiding and inspiring current students.

Kiya is very passionate about her involvement with Project Timor. In 2017, She travelled to Maliana and Dili, documenting the project through video, to educate others about the importance of the project. Kiya looks forward to travelling back to Maliana in the near future to see the progress and impact of Monte's contribution.
